Welcome to Kappa Alpha Theta at the University of Wisconsin – Madison!

Nationwide, Kappa Alpha Theta has a reputation of the highest scholarship, leadership, and philanthropic involvement.  At Psi Chapter, we strive to achieve these three ideals, along with forming close friendships with our Theta sisters.

Thetas are involved in numerous activities and organizations across campus from the Panhellenic Executive Board and WISPERG to Student Government and Business Fraternities.  We are also involved in the community and can be found volunteering for Habitat for Humanity or at the UW Hospital, just to name a few.

Each semester, our calendar is packed full of events, including many themed socials, Mom’s and Dad’s Weekends, Formal, and Sisterhoods.  In the Spring, we host a Designer Denim Jean Sale, and in the fall, we host a softball tournament for the fraternities called KAT@BAT.  The money raised from these philanthropies is donated to CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates.

Some of our most memorable college memories come from being with our Theta sisters, whether it be hanging out at the Union Terrace, tanning on our sun deck, or getting dressed up for a girls night out.  There is never a dull moment in the Theta house, and there is always someone there when you need a shoulder to cry on, a good laugh, or someone to study with.

Even though we are involved in many things, scholarship is our first priority.  Our GPA is above the all-campus women’s average, and we strive to improve each semester.  There are always several women that make the Dean’s List and achieve a 4.0 GPA. Each Theta takes her academics seriously, but what can be more fun than a Theta library party?!

As President of Psi Chapter, I am very proud to call each woman my sister.  Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Theta love and mine,

Jessica Bender
